2011 Christmas Message from Ian Mead

Ian D. Mead,
President

It's Christmas time already! How exciting. Let me start by wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. It's always so busy but let's make sure we enjoy it!

It really doesn't seem very long since I wrote my last Christmas message and talked about the classic film, "It's a Wonderful Life". I find the film's message especially meaningful today; life itself allows us to touch others lives and make contributions towards helping those in need.

For those that are reading, I truly want to thank you for that part that you play. Most of you are customers, or as I prefer, supporters of our products. Your loyal support allows us (the IDM Team) to support our families, to do the things we do, to have the jobs and hobbies we have but more importantly, your support allows us to support others in need.

From helping kids that don't have both Mum and Dad, helping kids that barely have enough to live on and don't get school supplies, anything special at holidays and Christmas, to orphans and children that are abused around the world, to drilling wells in Africa for tribes and villages without water, to young girls and women trapped in human trafficking and more. Helping these people locally and around the world is all possible because you support our products.

Let's continue this Christmas to help those around us, be it with a helping hand, a smile when needed, financially as we are able, sharing with the hurting, or anything that makes a difference.

As I reflect upon this past year, it seems as the years go by, time goes by even quicker. My youngest daughter graduated High School and I now have three beautiful daughters in college (until the oldest graduates next week) and a beautiful wife that always supports me in all I do. I've also said hello to newborn babies and said goodbye to some friends that passed on to meet their Savior. So much happens, and I am so thankful it's still a wonderful life.

As always, for all who celebrate Christmas, let's remember the real meaning and keep Christ in Christmas!

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

God Bless,

Ian

Thank you for your message Ian. It's truly easy to get caught up and stressed out in all the celebrations and traditions that go on this time of year. We need to keep all those things in perspective and remember the true Christmas message. Everything falls into place after that! Merry Christmas to All!

Merry Christmas! How nice to hear and to be able to say that. In this current culture where people would rather say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas it is so nice to read your message, Ian and to know that we buy products from a company that supports the real meaning of Christmas and shares values that I hold. Thank you for all you do and for your great products, but especially thank you for stating the real reason for the season - Jesus Christ who has come to earth to save us from our sins!!! May you have a blessed Christmas season and a great New Year.

It is so refreshing to hear someone admit that this season is more than just a holiday season--that something significant happened two thousand years ago, no matter how you look at it. Thanks Ian and may God continue to rain blessings down upon you and your family, immediate, extended and professional.

Ian,

As one who is of like mind as you concerning Christ and our reason for being here, I appreciate your message. How about listing some of the specific charities IDM has supported. Perhaps others would also like to help out.

Ian and all of the IDM staff. Merry Christmas! Ian, Thank You for making that leap years ago to make UltraEdit (and now all of the IDM products) what they are today. Thank you for sharing your Christmas message with us each year. You are always on the mark and I share your thoughts whole heartedly. It pains me to see what some think Christmas is.

Again, Merry Christmas!!

Hi Ian and your team,

thank you for the refreshing message about Christmas.

There are not many companies in software business that produce high quality software and remember the real meaning of Christmas. Continue the excellent work!

It's always nice to hear some words of true selfless giving and global thinking. As I stare into the glitter of what could be a commercial and meaningless holiday, I thank you for sharing the few and perhaps only words touching the true spirit of Christmas I will hear this season.

Ian,

There are few companies I would state that I am a supporter of, but certainly IDM has on the top of the list. And since I have been a customer for a long time, albeit a very small customer, I am able to say that it has always been money well spent. Thanks for the great products and for keeping focused on the right stuff.

May you and your team have a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Thank you so much for your Christmas Message. I have always appreciated your boldness in sharing your faith with the business world. I have used IDM products for over eight years and can attest that Christian business ethics and commitment to providing high quality products has always been foremost with everything produced by IDM. Ian's statement on the website is what first sold me on the company and I haven't been disappointed. I would like to wish Ian, his family and everyone at IDM a very Blessed Christmas and continued success and blessings in 2012.

What a refreshing message to see from a supplier this year as we have turned more towards what really matters in life. I am going to forward this message to many so they can see that true hearts in business still do exist. Whether it's stopping to help that broken down car on the side of the road, or stopping at the scene of an accident, even if it will make you a few minutes late, or realizing that it's more important to travel to see loved ones who may not have another Christmas left in lieu of gift-giving, or contributing to drilling a well in Africa, may people remember more than ever this year that there are people all around you who are in need, and by giving up a small thing this year, you can make someone else's kids excited to have a present under the tree this year! May everyone have a very Merry, and Blessed Christmas this year in the things that truly, truly matter!
Thanks Ian! --Lorie Temps

The Gift Of Excellence

It is so gratifying to know that a company which practices excellence in the products it produces also remembers the excellence of God's gift to us in the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. God bless you richly.

Ian and all the folks there at IDM. Thank you again for having a significant impact around the world. I am very thankful for all that you and the team do there at IDM. It is also very refreshing to see a leader that maintains his focus over many years, and knows where he is going. Both in this world and the one to come. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and admonish everyone that Jesus "IS" the reason for the season. For without His birth, there wouldn't be a "Happy Holiday" for them to celebrate.
