Merry Christmas to all!

Ian D. Mead,
President

As we approach the end of the year I like many find myself reflecting on the year past and looking forward to the year ahead.

I'm sure like many of you, it's been a busy year. For us (my family), it's been a very special year as two of our daughters got married two months apart and our third daughter just announced that she is engaged - I did know it was coming! We are so thankful that each of our daughters have chosen young men that share their faith in the Lord and are starting their adult lives in the right direction.

As I look back over the year, we recently released v20 of UltraEdit. It happens to be 20 years this fall since I started work on UltraEdit (MEdit originally) and never did I think that I would be here writing about it 20 years later. Ten years ago we made significant changes and growth with several of our great team members and my partner Richard Knott who has contributed so much over that last 10 years.

None of this would be possible without your loyal and ongoing support of our products, I and we truly appreciate it. It's only with that and God's blessing on what we do that we can celebrate our success over two decades. Thank you!!!

With all of this, we and many of the team have been able to reach out and touch the lives of others in need locally, nationally and around the world. We do this to share the blessings that we have been given and to make a difference in the lives of others. As Christ told us, help the widows and orphans.

This Christmas, let's again reach out to others to make a difference and share the love of Christ in a practical way, and for those that may not share the same belief, please also reach out to those that are less fortunate with compassion from your hearts.

Merry Christmas, and let's always keep Christ in Christmas.

Ian

Hi,

I use UltraEdit for a decade! It's of course the perfect software for script editing and more. But all around this product got the same professional touch! Update, support, independente with no complexe third party. No complexe key, authentication or installation procedure. Pure, intuitive and simple! The perfect match between standard and innovation!

Simply the best software I never had!

Je salut avec beaucoup de reconnaissance Ian (and is new gray hair ;- ) et son équipe!

Merry Christmas!

Thanks, same to all of you!
I remember introducing UEdit in the company I worked for, way back! And now having my own business, I'm still using it each and every day!
Cheers!

Love UltraEdit and use it every day. I want to thank you and IDM Computer Solutions for a recent donation of software to our little church here in Bend, Oregon. How it happened amazed me until I saw that you are a believer. I sent an email asking about software donations and expected to get a reply in a week or so with a long process to apply for a donation. Instead, within 30 minutes I received a reply from a member of your staff with the perfect answer to my request! UltraEdit is helping me with the work I do with the Water Church website. Thank you!!

A beacon in the dark sea of unadulterated atheism
Reply #7 on : Tue December 03, 2013, 10:03:35
I admire your courage in adhering to your beliefs openly. In the business world this is rare. I work for a large pharma company and the corporate culture demands that we not even talk about our faith at work leave alone display it. We are a nation aflush with godlessness and the result of course is a high rate of broken homes, children born out of wedlock, the highest number of incarcerated persons in the world, a pride in getting the dole from Uncle Sam, saying Happy Christmas is taboo, Happy Holidays is the accepted neutered phrase; atheism is a la mode. May our Lord bless you in your personal life as well as your efforts for IDM computers. You are a rare individual!

UltraEdit is my friend and so is you since the mid nineties!
Without you (UE that is) my world had been less productive, just showing the BOM in the beginning of the stream has made my day more than once ;-)
Keep up the good work!

I first came across this product around 1996. It has been a great product all along.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your team this Christmas. I trust your new son-in-laws are wonderful faithful men like my new son-in-law.

Sadly some of the kids I support do not even have a computer much less a need for good software. It is a world of stark differences in terms of opportunity. But I guess if everyone puts in just a few dollars to a worthy charity this Christmas, the gap is narrowed just a bit at least for a little while.

Great product through the years
Reply #14 on : Wed December 04, 2013, 09:30:13
Ian and team,

Thank you so much for a wonderful product through the years. I go back to version 8 but I seem to think I actually started at version 6 even though I can no longer find that key any more. Through all those years you have consistently provided a stable program that does its job better than anything else out there. Kudos to your entire team for a job well done.

As a fellow Christ follower, thank you also for re-investing what God has given you into His work on this world. It is a real joy to see the little we provide be used to further Christ's kingdom here.

May God continue to richly bless both you and your company,

John

As someone who had used and loved for program for most of those 20 years (started in mid 90's), Happy Holidays. Purchased the lifetime subscription and it is the best money I have ever spent on software.

God's blessings be upon you and the entire IDM Team. Thank you very much for your message, and for being bold enough to show your faith in God - very refreshing to see! Your daughters have started their married life well (2 Corinthians 6:14) and I wish them well. That is the way my wife and I started and here we are well beyond 30 years now. With God in the marriage and family, you cannot fail. Perhaps this is also why IDM is such a fine company with such wonderful products... God prospers His children.

Christ is THE reason for this season - let's never forget that.

Merry Christmas,

JW

Ian,

Bottom line, UltraEdit and friends are outstanding products, written and marketed by an outstanding an human, who has put together an outstanding company. I don't -think- I placed my first order 20 years ago, but close.

Enjoy your extended family times almost 3! Next adventure, grandkids! I have one on the way, and am chomping at the bit for he/she (my daughter will not find out the gender) to get here!

Yes, a busy year for you. You daughters choose good men. A common faith is the most important thing two people can share. Wishing you and the IDM staff a very merry Christmas and wishing you many, many grandchildren to enjoy and spoil.

The Meaning of Christmas
Reply #28 on : Thu December 05, 2013, 11:55:37
Thank you for reminding your clients about the true meaning of Christmas. I was very pleased to read your message to begin my day.

You have encouraged people to reach out to others but many readers will have no idea where they might help. I would like to encourage you, and your readers, to look at www.NEGU.org. The Jessie Rees Foundation is helping bring Joy to kids who are fighting cancer. Its a story of an amazing young girl, diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor, and how her faith guided her to use the remaining months of her life to make a difference. I know there are so many wonderful causes, yet this one provides love and support immediately to kids, and their families who are engaged in the most difficult circumstances we can imagine. Some of your subscribers may wish to help, but others may be inspired to step out in a similar way to provide direct assistance to those in needs. True faith is seen by how we apply it in following Christ's number 2 command, to love others.

Thanks for sharing from your heart, and allowing me to share from mine.

Ian, thank you for your kind and thoughtful Christmas greeting in our "superficially secular" age --- as one man recently put it.

We are also very blessed in that two of our sons will have been married to Christian women this year! And last week, a third son was baptized based on his profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

Merry Christmas, and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family!

Robert

P.S. I love UltraEdit :)
