UltraEdit for Linux is here - officially released and available for download

Ian D. Mead,
President

Hi Folks,

To all that have patiently awaited UEx over the years, we have a special announcement to make.

UEx is released! You may download it here:
http://www.ultraedit.com/downloads/uex.html

And of course purchase it here:
https://www.ultraedit.com/store/home.php?cat=334

THANK YOU to the 1200+ beta testers that have worked with us for the past six months, we really appreciate your efforts, time, and community leadership.

Collectively, the beta group contributed over 1000 fixes/enhancements to UEx… Words alone cannot adequately address our gratitude for these contributions and the overwhelming support of our Windows community in making UEx a reality.

We therefore have discounted UEx by 40% (including introductory offer) until the end of the year for our beta testers and existing UltraEdit/UEStudio users as a token of our user community appreciation.

We are thrilled to make this announcement and sincerely grateful to our user community for allowing us the privilege of being your solution provider.

It is also very necessary to thank our Linux development group here at IDM for the countless evenings and weekends they have sacrificed in the pursuit of perfecting UEx features, functionality and performance.

Our next steps will be to act upon any feedback our new Linux user base requires. We fully intend to maintain an active development tempo for UltraEdit for Linux and plan on frequent updates over the next several months to bring more features and functionality to our users. As always, we want to over deliver on the value if 1-year free upgrades with any paid registration.

For the Mac users out there, please expect more details on the Mac version of UltraEdit in the next few weeks.

Thanks again and best wishes,

Ian and team

Good Question Mac-con :) I tried it with one of the earlier beta releases and did not have any luck. but that could have been my fault too. I was on 10.5.x then. Have not tried it with 10.6
