Delete Doesn't Work In FTP Browser After Disconnect/Reconnect

Postby Pony99CA » Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:28 am

Can anybody confirm this bug?

  1. Go to any FTP account using FTP Browser
  2. Disconnect
  3. Connect again
  4. Right click a file on the remote host
  5. Click Delete
The FTP Browser seems to disconnect (the Disconnect button gets disabled and the Connect button gets enabled) and the file is not deleted. You have to close the FTP Browser, open it again and then do the Delete to actually delete the file.

Interestingly, you can rename a file after a disconnect.

This is in UltraEdit 15.20.0.1022 on Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit).

If confirmed, I'll open a bug report.

Hi Steve,

bug confirmed, please post it to IDM.
The problem is surely after disconnecting/reconnecting.

I had the same issue. I resolved it by using Passive mode.

In the FTP Account Manager:
- Select the account you want to modify (you're having issues with).
- Select the Server tab.
- Check "Passive Transfers".
- Press OK and go ahead and test the login.

Thanks to Ben for helping me resolve this issue.
