Is there documentation on permitted number of installs?

I'm curious if there's documentation on the number of installs UE permits on a single user license. A friend has asked about this, and I'd prefer to point to a link on the web rather than have him (or me) ask support via email (I think that this kind of policy should be transparent to purchasers).

Does anyone know of such a document?

By the way, when IDM's activation scheme was first being rolled out, there was a discussion thread about it, but I can't locate it. I suspect it was removed. My recollection is that there was useful information in it, so I'm hoping that I'm wrong and that someone else might have better search or recollection that I do.

Thanks - I can't believe I didn't hit that License and Activation FAQ. It appears to answer pretty much all the questions I think anyone would have on that topic.
