Problems Pasting text in Column Mode

When I paste text in normal mode, the cursor jumps to the end of the pasted text.

However, in Column mode, the cursor position does not move once text has been pasted.

This is HIGHLY annoying. Is there any way to make the cursor move to the end of the pasted block in both modes?

That the cursor position is not changed when pasting in column mode is most of the time for me much better when editing in column mode and is required when really pasting columns and not only a single line text. I use sometimes the column mode only because of the cursor position does not changed even when I paste only a single line text.
