What encryption algorithm is used in UE?

What encryption algorithm is used in UE?

Version 14 of UltraEdit has a new built in function to encrypt files, but i couldn't find any hint on what algorithm is implemented. Does anybody know, if IDM used a proprietary algorithm or a "official" one? What key length did they use?

UltraEdit (and UEStudio and UE3) uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) algorithm for file encryption.
