UltraCompare Professional v4.00 Released!

We appreciate your interest and support of UltraCompare Professional.

Just a short update to let you know that UltraCompare Professional v4.00 is now available.

The changes in this release include:

Text Mode Enhancements
==================
- All New - Compare Word Documents/RTF Files
- All New - FTP/SFTP support
- All New - Show File in Browser
- Line Merge Mode for selected line(s) to merge
- Copy/paste multiple selected contiguous lines to clipboard
- Set Tab value to a specific number of spaces (like UltraEdit-32/UEStudio)
- Set UltraCompare to single instance
- Ability to set UC to restore previous profile on startup
- Accept all (or Merge All) button for text mode, and folder mode
- Close All in the file menu and as a button
- Option to automatically move to the first difference when loading
- Option to automatically move to next difference after merge
- Right-click toolbar/menu for Customize/Manage

Folder Mode Enhancements

- Compare two folder structures and indicate which files have different permissions
- Ability to select files with different names and compare them
- Ability to right-click on column headings and select fields
- Stop comparing when one of the directory entries are blank

great to see so much development on this program, but there is still no localized version. i already waited some time for 3.50 to be localized, but no luck there.

i hope 4.0 will be localized "soon" as stated.

One question: In V3.10's text compare mode, clicking on a line in the, say, left pane would display this line and the corresponding line of the right pane automatically in the bottom part of the UC window for "Inline editing/merge".

In 4.00, I have to find the corresponding line in the right pane myself and click on it in order to get it to display in the "Inline editing" area. I liked the previous behavior better - is there an option that I have overlooked, or is this a bug (or a new feature)?

...according to IDM support, this might be unintentional... let's wait and see...
