how to set InitPathF1 thru 3

Postby marklanb » Tue May 19, 2009 11:59 am

Hi,

When doing a folder compare, is there a way (other than using regedit) to set the folder (InitPathF1-3) to a folder of my choosing?

The default folder appears to be C:\Documents and Settings\markm\Local Settings\Temp\ i would like to put my folders to compare in a folder of my choice so i can find them easier and clean them up.

thanks,
Mark

Have you tried profiles? I. e., set up a compare operation to your choosing and then saving that as a profile? That feature is a bit hidden in the configuration dialog.

Thanks for the suggestion on profiles, that lead me on a new learning curve. not sure i understand how profiles work.

But I did find that in the FTP/SFTP Account Manager (FTP Open>>Accounts), the advanced tab allows me to set the 'local copy directory'

thanks,
