Some combining/complex glyphs render improperly

Postby mmoszczynski » Mon Feb 27, 2006 10:32 pm

There seems to be an odd issue with rendering complex (and left-to-right) text, where it renders properly when highlighted, but some glyphs don't combine when you highlight, like so:

not highlighted:

I'm using Code2000, but the issue remains (with errors on the same glyphs) for all fonts. Anybody have any ideas about settings that might fix this? Thanks for any help!

Play with the settings at Configuration - Editor Display - Advanced.

Do you have the same problem when selecting this text in Notepad?

I've played with a lot of the settings in advanced, and while they did fix cleartype for me, they didn't change the improperly displayed glyphs. And I don't have the same combining problems in other editors, like Notepad and Visual Studio. Also, some glyphs do combine properly, but others don't - it's not just all glyphs failing to combine. Perhaps the underlying rendering isn't interpreting the fonts properly?
