getString command -> no focus for dialog

getString command -> no focus for dialog

Postby mik0001 » Tue Jul 31, 2007 9:05 pm

When using the getString-command, I have to click in the dialog first, because the dialog is not active (but it should be).
Can someone reproduce this?

(UE 13.10a+1).

Greetings,
Stefan

Yes, it's a known "feature". I emailed IDM Support a couple of weeks back and asked if they could make UE give getString and getValue focus right away and the reply was:

IDM Support wrote:... We have had other requests for this and I believe the developers will be enhancing this in a future release...

Hey, suddenly from version 13.20 my scripts with UltraEdit.getString() now focus on the getString dialog right away, so there is no need to use the mouse to get focus. Great stuff.
