Behavior changed opening shortcut (.lnk) files?

Using UE 11.0, when I try to open a text file via a shortcut (.lnk file), it is very surprising that UE opens the .lnk file instead of the file it links to.

I don't like this change in standard behavior. It used to opening the linked file and that's what we all get used to!

Is there an option to change this or it is simply a mindless bug?

Advanced - Configuration - General - File Handling Items - Open links (.lnk) files, not the file the link points to
