Basic.mfg in another directory???

Postby djorre » Tue May 31, 2005 2:45 am

Is it possible to put the menu profiles files (Basic.mfg for example) in another directory than c:\winnt??

By default it puts the menu profiles in c:\winnt but that is not good for us because of our internal security policies.

Thanks!

Although not explained in the help, I detected, that the menu and toolbar files are installed during my update in the same directory, where my uedit32.ini is. And my uedit32.ini is not in the windows directory, because I have moved it to the UltraEdit directory many years ago.

So I suggest to simply move the uedit32.ini, uedit32.kbd and all *.mfg and *.tfg files to UE program directory.

I'm just starting with v11, so I have not tested, where the menu and toolbar files are searched for INI files specified on command line or via environment variable UEINIDIR. Try it by yourself.

Details about INI file locations can be found in the help of UltraEdit at help section INI File Selection and Advanced Settings.
