Enabling code collapsing?

Somehow the +'s in front of the lines where code blocks started have dissapeared. Does anybody know how I re-enable code collapsing?

In the Advanced | Configuration menu, on the General tab, in the Display section, there is an option to "Enable show/hide lines and code folding". Make sure it is enabled.
