FTP files with long lines per record

Postby santosh9999 » Mon Aug 14, 2006 8:11 am

Hi there!
I use Ultraedit v12 to FTP open files from MVS (Mainframes). Some of the files have a huge record length..ie each row length could exceed 5000 characters.
Ultraedit breaks each such long line into two lines and shows a . (period) symbol in the line number field. I would like ultraedit to show the long record as one line only and not break it up.
If I save the file to my disk and open it with other editors like Textpad, the fully long lines are shown without breaks, but Ultraedit breaks them.
Is there a configuration option that I need to change? Thanks.

Increase the value at Configuration - Editor Display - Miscellaneous - Maximum columns before line wraps. The maximum number is 20.000.
