And where is now the uedit32.* and *.mfg, *.tfg and *.pfg files after deleting it?
The project.lst is always created in %APPDATA%\IDMComp\UltraEdit. But it looks like UE is using a different INI. The current version 12.10a does not show anywhere which INI is used. The next version will have this feature. You can read in help of UE in the topic
INI File Selection and Advanced Settings where UltraEdit is searching for an INI. Check the possible locations and the shortcut.
If you can't find the INI which is used by UltraEdit, you have to download
Filemon from
Sysinternals, unpack the zip-file, run the Filemon.exe and log every disk access while starting UltraEdit to find out what's going wrong. You could set the Include filter of Filemon to
uedit32 before starting UltraEdit to log only UltraEdit disk accesses.
