How to alter hot keys because Alt+F5 is not working

Postby edcarden » Tue Dec 05, 2006 6:43 pm

The hot key assignment for the 'Set to Uppercase' menu item is Alt+F5. Unfortunately that same key combination turns off my monitor or at least puts it in some kind of hibenation mode. I really need to ability to call this feature via a key combination so I tried to manually edit the key assignment but nothing I use works. Any ideas on how to handle this?

Thanks

To change the key assignment for command FormatToUpper open Configuration - Key Mapping, scroll to the command, remove the existing assignment with Alt+F5 and assign a different one.

By the way: Do you have an ATI graphic card? Yes, then Alt+F5 is defined by the graphic card driver to toggle between CRT and TV. I don't have such a graphic card, but I'm sure you can disable that feature in the Advanced Display Settings of the ATI driver. See for example ATI Driver FAQ & Troubleshooter: Look Here Before Asking!
