ShortCut to FindInFiles

Postby mohammadtes » Fri Feb 04, 2005 6:01 pm

Hi
Is there a way to assign a shortcut key to FindInFiles?
I would like to be able to highlight a word and hit F4 and have it search all subdirectories for that word.

Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Open Advanced - Configuration - Key Mapping, select SearchFindInFiles from the list of commands and assign F4 to it.

Now when you press F4 and something is highlighted, the find in files dialog pop-ups with the selected text as find string and if all other settings are correct, you only have to press Return to start the search.
