Manual for wordfile format?

Postby snapplez » Wed Nov 01, 2006 5:13 pm

I would like to create my own wordfiles. Where can I get information on the wordfile forrmat? I've tried searching the site but only find information about specific formating issues.

There is no manual. Read large help page titled Syntax Highlighting (Configuration - Editor Display) in help of UltraEdit/UEStudio. Some infos can be found also in the text file syntax.txt in the program directory of UE/UES (depends on your version of UE).

And you can use the forum search to find answers on special problems. The macro set and explanation at the ultimate syntax highlighting tools could be also helpful for you.

But most important before you start, check in the download area if there is not already a wordfile for your language.

PS: I became a syntax highlighting expert by reading, reading and reading, then try it - not working, try again with a different solution - not working, next try, ... I think this method is named learning by doing.
