Renumbering a selection

Hello - I need some information on renumbering a selected group (columns & lines) for example SP071414 is my beginning # and I need to change that to SP071432 and have my text file renumbered from the beginning to the end sequencially.

I am new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are the numbers well arranged below each other in every line?

Something like:

SP071453
SP071523

Then it would be very easy. Enable Column - Column Mode and select the columns with the numbers you want to renumber or use the Edit - Select Range feature to select the numbers in column mode.

Next click on Column - Insert Number and specify the options you need and execute the command which will then replace the current selection with a sequence of numbers according to the options you have specified.
