Workspace Manager

Visibility of the Workspace Manager may be toggled by selecting Show Workspace Manager from the View menu or by pressing Ctrl+U.  Users may toggle between the Explorer and Sessions tabs.

 

Explorer mode: displays tree view for local/network drives and removable media

 

 

If no items are selected in the Explorer pane of the Workspace Manager the following items are shown in the context menu:

 

System Explorer Menupresents applicable parts of Windows Explorer context menu
Refreshupdates listing of all hard drives and removable media
Set Directory as Rootsets the active directory as root on right click and selection
Restore Default Rootrestores original root directory

 

 

If a folder is selected in the Explorer pane of the Workspace Manager the following items are shown in the context menu:

 

System Explorer Menupresents applicable parts of Windows Explorer context menu
Load into the first frameloads selected folder into first frame of active folder compare
Load into the second frameloads selected folder into second frame of active folder compare
Load into new sessionlaunches new folder compare session and loads selected folder into first frame
Load into new 3-way sessionlaunches new 3-way folder compare session and loads selected folder into first frame
Refreshupdates listing of all hard drives and removable media
Set Directory as Rootsets the active directory as root on right click and selection
Open Command Prompt Herelaunches command prompt and sets to selected directory
Propertiesdisplays Windows properties dialog for active folder
Delete

deletes selected folder(s)

Windows Directoryswitches focus to Windows directory
System Directoryswitches focus to System directory
My Documentsswitches focus to My Documents directory for user
Programs Directoryswitches focus to Windows Programs directory
Application

switches focus to Application Data directory

 

 

If a file is selected in the Explorer pane of the Workspace Manager the following items are shown in the context menu:

Load into the second frameloads selected file into second frame of active file compare
Load into new sessionlaunches new file compare session and loads selected file into first frame

Open with Default

opens active file in application registered with Windows for file type

Propertiesdisplays Windows properties dialog for active file
Deletedeletes selected file(s)
Windows Directoryswitches focus to Windows directory
System Directoryswitches focus to System directory
My Documentsswitches focus to My Documents directory for user
Programs Directoryswitches focus to Windows Programs directory
Applicationswitches focus to Application Data directory

 

 

Sessions mode: displays tree view for active sessions and groups

 

 

If no items are selected in the Sessions pane of the Workspace Manager the following items are shown in the context menu:

 

Add New Groupadds a new Group to the Sessions pane
Add active Session to new Groupadds a new Group to the Sessions pane and adds the active Session to the created Group

 

 

If a session group is selected in the Sessions pane of the Workspace Manager the following items are shown in the context menu:

 

Launch Grouplaunches selected Group
Rename Grouptoggles selected Group label so that it may be modified
Add Active Sessionadds active Session to active Group
Delete Groupdeletes active Group

 

 

If a session is selected in the Sessions pane of the Workspace Manager the following items are shown in the context menu:

 

Launch Sessionlaunches selected Session
Rename Sessiontoggles selected Session label so that it may be modified
Add to New Grouppresents Save Active Session dialog where user may specify the name of the new group to which the selected session should be added
Session Propertiespresents Session Properties dialog where user may modify options for the selected session
Delete Sessiondeletes selected Session
