With a focus on being fast, v8.50 delivers some of the most dramatic performance improvements to date! Remote folder compare is now exponentially quicker with the new option to use the server file listing for basic folder mode. Folder sync also now supports basic compare method for vastly faster sync scanning. Greatly improved performance of remote folder compare via server directory listing
- Comparing files via directory listing avoids download of entire remote directory contents
- Used for basic (size and timestamp only) compare mode
- Configurable in Options -> Configuration -> FTP
Basic (size and timestamp only) compare support for Folder Sync
- Dramatically increases speed of folder sync for large folders/files
- Configurable in Options -> Configuration -> Compare -> Folder Sync -> Folder Sync Options
New quick exit option for command line
- Add "-esc" flag to command line to quickly dismiss application by pressing ESC key
- Useful when quickly diffing files out of CVS or other version control system
