How to uninstall an UltraEdit application

Windows applications

To uninstall any UltraEdit application on Windows, open the Control Panel and click on the “Uninstall a Program” option. Please see Microsoft’s website for further instructions and information.

Mac OS X applications

To uninstall any UltraEdit application on Mac OS X, open your Applications folder and then drag the application into the Trash. Please see Apple’s website for further instructions and information.

Linux applications

To uninstall any UltraEdit application on Linux, check the documentation for the distribution and version of Linux you’re using.

For RPM installations, you can uninstall using the following command in a terminal window:

sudo rpm -e [UltraEdit|UltraCompare|OtherPackageName]

For DEB installations, you can uninstall using the following command in a terminal window:

sudo dpkg -r [UltraEdit|UltraCompare|OtherPackageName]

For TAR installations, simply delete/remove the files you extracted when you downloaded and opened the TAR package.
